Frequently asked questions about withdrawals

Here are answers to common questions about withdrawals on Cardtonic.

Most withdrawals arrive within minutes. Some are checked by our team first, which can take up to 24 hours. If your status shows “PAID” but the funds have not arrived, wait up to 24 hours. After 24 hours, contact support via in-app chat. We will give you the session ID for the payment, so your bank can trace it.

Please note: Student accounts may have receiving limits. If a “PAID” withdrawal has not reached your bank account after 24 hours, contact support via in-app chat. We will check the payment with the bank. If it did not reach your account, we will return the money to your Cardtonic Wallet.

A pending status means your withdrawal is waiting to be sent. Most clear within minutes. Some withdrawals are checked by our team first, which can take up to 24 hours. The amount stays reserved for your withdrawal while it waits.

If it is still pending after 24 hours, contact support via in-app chat. See: Why is my withdrawal still pending?

This is usually due to invalid or unrecognised account details. Cross-check your details and try again. If it’s rejected, the amount is automatically returned to your Cardtonic Wallet.

Contact support as soon as possible by calling +2347060502770 or emailing support@cardtonic.com. If the withdrawal has not yet been processed, it will be cancelled. Once processing has started, cancellation might no longer be possible.

Withdrawing from Cardtonic is free. A ₦50 stamp duty applies to Naira withdrawals of ₦10,000 and above, so your bank receives ₦50 less. For example, if you withdraw ₦10,000, your bank receives ₦9,950. Withdrawals below ₦10,000 are not affected.
