Amazon gift cards: what you need to know

Learn how to identify, price, and trade Amazon gift cards on Cardtonic, including receipt requirements and processing time.

Cardtonic accepts Amazon gift cards in physical and ecode format. Each subcategory has its own rate, so always check the trade terms before submitting.

Physical or ecode:

Physical Amazon cards start with AQ and have 15 claim codes in a 4-6-5 format. Ecodes have 14 claim codes in a 4-6-4 format and carry a slightly lower rate than physical cards.

Receipt type:

For US Amazon cards: cash receipt and debit receipt have the same rate. Credit receipt and no receipt have a lower rate.

For non-US Amazon cards: any receipt gives a better rate than no receipt.

Always select what you actually have. See: Gift card receipts: everything you need to know

Card value:

Select the subcategory that matches your card's country and value range. Amazon cards with high amounts like $500 attract lower rates due to limited demand in the market.
